AI Transformation Consultant

Employee Remote / North America
Apply Now

Learn how businesses actually work, and help determine where AI can transform them.

DBLU is hiring an AI Transformation Consultant to work directly with clients as part of our growing AI consulting practice.

This is an unusually broad opportunity for someone early in their career. You won’t spend your first two years changing fonts in PowerPoint presentations. You will sit in meetings with executives and operating teams, ask questions about how their businesses actually function, investigate workflows and systems, structure what you learn, identify opportunities for AI and help present recommendations to company leadership.

You’ll work closely with a senior DBLU consulting leader who will guide the engagement and help you develop the judgment required to become an exceptional consultant.

What you’ll do

  • Interview executives, functional leaders, managers, frontline employees and subject-matter experts.
  • Learn to uncover what actually happens in a business, not merely what process documentation says.
  • Map business objectives, customers, products, roles, departments, workflows, systems, documents, data, policies, terminology, decisions, handoffs, metrics, approvals and governance requirements.
  • Help turn interviews, documents and system information into a structured model or ontology representing how the relevant parts of an organization operate.
  • Investigate workflows from beginning to end and identify bottlenecks, handoffs, dependencies, decision points and automation opportunities.
  • Work with the engagement leader and DBLU technology to evaluate potential AI opportunities based on business impact, revenue potential, cost savings, employee time, frequency, customer impact, data availability, feasibility, readiness, governance, approvals and implementation complexity.
  • Help develop client findings, workflow designs, business cases, governance requirements, implementation priorities, pilot recommendations, roadmaps and success metrics.
  • Present portions of findings and recommendations directly to client teams and executives as you develop.

Who we’re looking for

This is an early-career position. We care more about intellectual curiosity, structured thinking and communication ability than about having many years of experience.

Possible backgrounds include recent undergraduate or graduate, analyst at a consulting firm, business analyst, strategy analyst, operations analyst, technology consultant, customer-success professional, implementation consultant, or an unusually analytical salesperson.

We do not require you to be a software engineer, machine-learning researcher, ontology expert or prompt engineer. We can teach the tools and methodology. It is harder to teach curiosity, judgment and the ability to understand another person’s business.

What you’ll learn

Management consulting, executive interviewing, business-process analysis, AI strategy, workflow automation, organizational design, business-case development, AI governance, systems analysis, knowledge modeling, change management, executive communication and client management.

Compensation & opportunity

This is intended to be a full-time employee position with competitive early-stage cash compensation, performance-based upside, equity participation, significant professional-development opportunity and rapid advancement potential as the consulting practice grows.

Potential progression: Senior AI Transformation Consultant → Engagement Manager → Principal → consulting-practice leadership.

Our philosophy is simple: Business before AI. Understanding before automation. Authority before action.
